Description
Gua sha is a traditional Chinese medicine practice designed to stimulate circulation, remove toxins from the body through lymphatic drainage and boost the body’s energy levels.
A gua sha facial massage boosts microcirculation, replenishes the skin’s oxygen and nutrient reserves, stimulates collagen and elastin production, prevents skin aging, smooths wrinkles and helps maintain and restore the skin’s softness, radiance and moisture. Gua sha is effective in reducing (morning) facial puffiness, and defining and sculpting facial contours. With regular use, it provides a toned and youthful complexion.
Chinese medicine posits that by stimulating the external and visible aspects of the body, the health and functioning of internal organs is also affected. What more could one possibly wish for?

Instructions:
Apply your preferred serum, oil or cream to your face and neck. Begin with the neck, mentally dividing it into four sections. Using gentle pressure, glide the edge of the gua sha stone from bottom to top 5 to 7 times, until you have massaged the entire neck. Next, mentally divide the face in half. Starting from the jawline and cheeks, apply gentle pressure and glide the edge of the gua sha stone from the centre of the chin to the ears 5 to 7 times. Repeat the same process on the other side of your face. Massage the rest of your face in the same way, always moving in one direction – outward from the centre of the face toward the main lymph nodes. You can do gua sha massage every morning and evening, adjusting the number of repetitions according to your preference. Your face may appear slightly red after the massage, depending on the pressure applied during the massage.
After each use, clean the gua sha stone with warm water and skin-friendly soap. From time to time, perform energetic cleansing.
